Kim Kardashian announced that Skims will be designing the official Team USA undergarments, pajamas, and loungewear for the athletes to wear in Tokyo.
Big things are happening for reality TV and social media superstar Kim Kardashian! She announced on Instagram that she received a call inviting her clothing line Skims to be a part of Team USA for the Olympics.
Skims launched in 2019 and sells various loungewear and undergarment items such as bras, underwear, bodysuits, robes, shapewear, and even dresses. Skims describes itself as “a solutions oriented brand creating the next generation of underwear, loungewear, and shapewear.”
In the Instagram post, Kardashian shared a story about how growing up she would go with her stepdad, Caitlyn Jenner to all of the Olympic trials, the Olympics, and track meets of Jenner’s and would get an Olympic t-shirt as a souvenir at every stop. These moments growing up with an Olympian stepdad weren’t for nothing, it all came full circle as she continued in the caption, “every moment i’ve spent admiring the strength and energy of the olympians from the sidelines came full circle.”
We’ll be able to lounge like Team USA. The limited edition capsule collection will be available on the Skims website.
Modeling for the new Skims collection are five Team USA athletes; United States women’s national soccer team (USWNT)’s Alex Morgan, WNBA’s A’ja Wilson, Paralympic sprinter Scout Bassett, 400 meter hurdler Dalilah Muhammad, and long distance swimmer Haley Anderson.
