The Best Dressed Stars at the 2023 MTV VMAs

There’s no rules for the VMAs red carpet. Since its first ceremony in 1984, the MTV VMAs has set a precedent for stars to come wearing their most bold, daring, fun, and outlandish outfits. This year’s attendees played it pretty safe in the fashion department compared to some years in the award shows’ 40-year history. Remember Rose McGowan’s naked dress in 1998? Or how about in 2010 when Lady Gaga wore a dress made out of raw meat? You can see the most iconic VMAs looks here.

Although not on the best-dressed list, celebs like Doja Cat, Tinashe, Karol G, and Doechii were among those with the most daring (and revealing) looks. Those that did make it on our best dressed list such as Nicki Minaj, Coco Jones, and Emily Ratajkowski nailed the VMAs vibe and stayed true to the shows essence with Minaj in a pink lace lingerie piece and matching veil, Jones in a Moschino black leather belt top and jacket skirt and Ratajkowski in a colorful vintage Jean Paul Gaultier dress.
