Keke Palmer popped open her shirt revealing a baby bump during her SNL debut like Beyoncé did during her 2011 VMAs performance. Is there a more iconic way to announce your pregnancy than that? NOPE!
“There’s some rumors going around, people have been in my comments saying, ‘Keke’s having a baby, Keke’s pregnant,’ and I wanna set the record straight — I am!” Palmer announced, ripping open her jacket. “I gotta say, though, it is bad when people on the internet spread rumors about you y’all, but it’s even worse when they’re correct. I mean, like, I was trying so hard to keep it on the down low, cause I got a lot of stuff going on, you know?” She continued. “Honestly, this has been the biggest blessing, and I am so excited. Guys, I’m going to be a mom!”

Keke Palmer’s pregnancy has since been the source of hope for women struggling with PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) which can cause infertility, depression, anxiety, acne, excessive hair growth, painful and irregular periods, as well as fluctuating weight. The KeyTV owner opened up about her journey with PCOS on Instagram in 2020.
“Hey you guys, for some of you this may be TMI, but for me my platform has always been used for things much greater than me. Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome has been attacking me from the inside out my entire life and I had no idea,” Palmer wrote in her caption.
“The least harmful thing PCOS can bring is acne. To all the people struggling with this please know you’re not alone and that you are still so fucking fine! MY ACNE AINT NEVER STOPPED ME. But we don’t have accept this. Now I can really help KEKE! And I love her so it’s ON.”

Although, fans have been speculating about the Nope stars’ pregnancy for awhile the SNL reveal still came as a surprise. Fans of course took to social media to figure out who the father is. The father in question is Palmer’s boyfriend Darius Jackson, brother of Insecure actor Sarunas Jackson. This is the perfect opportunity for there to be a real True Jackson (Keke, don’t let us down!!).
Palmer and Jackson met in May 2021 at a Memorial Day party hosted by Issae Rae and Diddy. She made her relationship with Jackson public last year via social media. The couple shared sweet posts of appreciation for each other on Instagram with Jackson writing, “Never would’ve expected summer 2021 to turn out the way it did but here we are,” for Palmer’s birthday. “You’ve been a blessing from above & I thank you for showing me a lot of feelings I didn’t know I had in me.”
In her own post Palmer shared, “Without being too mushy because I HATEEEE THAT, it feels really nice to not be afraid to show this kind of care for someone that I don’t share the same blood with…I thought it could never happen, I can be quite guarded, but I appreciate you for being a safe space,” she continued, “I will always cherish what you have given me.”
Palmer didn’t just make their relationship “Instagram official” though, they also became “TikTok official” when she posted the TikTok of them kissing behind a fan. Watch below.
In her appearance on The Tamron Hall Show last November Palmer spoke about posting her relationship with Jackson on social media. “It became more difficult to hide…We spend all this time together, and he really is my closest friend, so it just becomes a thing where I’m not gonna hide something that makes me happy.”
