Bovtiqve Fashion Week’s Celebration of Fashion and Culture in Atlanta

Bovtiqve Fashion Week’s second installment of 2022 was held September 21-25 at various venues in Atlanta, GA showcasing custom and ready-to-wear fashion local to Atlanta and beyond. Bovtiqve Fashion Week or BVFW is stated by BVFW as “a cohesive experience of fashion, synergy, pizazz, positivity, and creativity” and is “created in partnership with independent fashion designers, boutique owners, merchandisers, producers, and models to establish a foundation of fashion and business trade.”

Bovtiqve Fashion Week happens twice a year in February and September across the U.S. and was created by Pretty Fly Society’s co-founders Angelo Diaz and Franck Mille. Diaz, an actor who stars in TV One’s ATL Homicide and Mille, a creative director who has previously worked with Condé Nast put together a special weekend for BVFW Vol. V. Speaking of Vol. V, you’re probably wondering why the “u’s” in boutique has been replaced with “v’s”. Well, besides it making Bovtiqve Fashion Week stand out, the “v’s” represent the roman numeral five which signify their five pillars of success: integrity, respect, responsibility, inclusion, and style.

Thursday evening was the kickoff of the BVFW festivities. The models, designers, press, and guests gathered at the AC Hotel Perimeter for cocktails, networking, the “I CAN” panel and of course, fashion. The “I CAN” panelists were; Fashion designer and entrepreneur Lisa Nicole Cloud, casting director of Molly World Casting Molly Flynn, lawyer and media personality Andry Delmar, Actress and CEO Nzinga Imani, as well as BVFW’s Angelo Diaz with moderation from BVFW’s Franck Mille.

On day two, yoga was provided for relaxing mental prep at the AC Hotel before the rest of day’s festivities. The main event took place at Merge Co., a high-end boutique located in Phipps Plaza. To begin the night there was a pre-show hosted by Neisha Rogers before guests posed dressed to impress on the red carpet. The runway featured fashion from Merge Co., Pink Zebra, 2PLAYA, and Brand Faith Ruby. The night continued to the grand opening of V Studios with a ribbon cutting ceremony, cocktails, and networking.

The Grammys entered Atlanta on day three with “The V Gala” at the AC Hotel. Again, the day began with yoga to start the day off right before an exciting evening. Beautiful, elegant, and high fashion designs from Anne Fontaine, JWNDON, LAYOL, The Style Medium, Azjuré Yah, and Tiffany’s Label graced the runway. After the show was the after party at The Pink Zebra Boutique where guests were able to continue the celebration of fashion and culture with live music, cocktails, a gallery viewing, and more.

BVFW started in Atlanta and to celebrate their return day four’s theme was “Homecoming”. Models strutted down the runway at Paul Mitchell Atlanta in designs by Lisa Nicole Collection, Style Junkiez Klozet, STFU Designs, and Club GSC. To end an amazing weekend of dope fashion BVFW hosted a brunch with good vibes and good food.

BVFW model Yulie Henriquez who walked for Lisa Nicole Collections, Anne Fontaine, Merge Co., Pink Zebra, 2PLAYA, and Tiffany’s Label spoke to Everything GOOD Mag about her experience walking in both the Las Vegas and Atlanta shows,

“I’ve learned that each time I’m making more connections and long lasting friendships. I am able to take this opportunity and learn and grow from it. I’ve received tips and tricks on how to be a better model. I’m extremely appreciative of the opportunity.” Henriquez celebrated her birthday during BVFW and expressed how loved she felt, “My model friends all showed out and made sure to make me feel special on my day. I appreciate the BVFW family.”

BVFW has announced that Vol. VI will be in New York City February 22-26 of next year. Registration for boutique owners, fashion designers, models, and media for NYC is now open on BovtiqveFashionWeek.com.
