So, it tastes good and it’s good for me? I’m sold!
When Kourtney Kardashian Barker posted this photo on Instagram with the caption, “You’re gonna want to sit down for this…notifications on please” fans analyzed, investigated, and dissected it to try and figure out what the heck Kourt had up her sleeve. Some fans thought she might be starting a podcast, which based off of her sitting in a chair would make sense. But, what Mrs. Barker had up her sleeve is far from a podcast (although that would’ve been cool too). On September 12, the Poosh founder ended the guessing game in an interview with WSJ. Magazine when she announced her new venture in partnership with longtime friend Simon Huck, an all-natural gummy supplement brand called Lemme. In the interview Kardashian let us in on the 5 year process it took to bring Lemme to life.
“My process [with a new product] is take it to my natural doctor, and he would muscle test me with it. I would hold the product in my hand, and he would see how it reacts to my body.” She continued, “Some things test well but most of the time things didn’t test well on me. I found it so interesting when he would say, ‘Oh, it’s because they’re using corn or corn syrup or it’s genetically modified’.”
Lemme launched on September 27 with three products to help you take your health to the next level. Kourtney revealed that she plans to expand the brand in the future going beyond gummies but for now you can purchase these high fructose corn syrup, gluten, dairy, and gelatin free yummy gummies; Lemme Matcha, Lemme Chill, and Lemme Focus. The Lemme Matcha is made with organic matcha, infused with vitamin B12 and coenzyme Q10 to support cellular energy plus it’s Kourtney’s favorite.
“Matcha is probably my favorite gummy. It has B12, [so] it’s not like jittery caffeine energy. Matcha naturally has caffeine, so it’s not caffeine-free, but it’s like the tiniest bit of caffeine,” she said, noting: “The B12 and the coenzyme Q10 give you that sustained energy. I feel really passionate about the ingredients and the combinations,” she said in her interview with WSJ. Magazine.
Lemme Chill is made with ashwagandha and a blend of passionflower, goji berry, and lemon balm to help keep you calm by supporting healthy cortisol levels. Last but not least, the strawberry flavored Lemme Focus has cognizin citicoline and lion’s mane to help with concentration.
Everything about Lemme is really cool and feels super young, fun, and fresh like the name for instance but also their social media marketing. The Lemme Instagram screams gen Z and 90s born millennials from the accessories Kourtney has on to her hairstyle to the blinged out grill and nails that say ‘lemme’.
If you are a millennial or Gen Z then you probably often use the word “lemme” well, so does Kourtney which actually the reason for the name of the brand. In an interview with Harpar’s Bazaar Kardashian talked about how the name came about.
“My team and I were going over names on a Zoom call, and I don’t think I realized how often I use the word lemme in sentences. Like, “Lemme look into this and get back to you,” or, “Lemme check.” So my team and I thought it would be perfect, because we can use it for every product.”
On the Lemme website Kourtney tells us about her health journey and what ultimately lead her to creating this brand, “For the last 13 years, (after having my first baby and reading about the best foods to feed him) I became really aware of the importance of what we put into our bodies.” She continues in the founders note, “in pursuit of living my healthiest and most balanced life– from oversized supplements that are difficult to swallow to gummy vitamins that were ok on taste but not so good on ingredients, and I learned so much along the way! None of this made sense to me. Why can’t it be yummy and be good for you? Lemme tell you, it can!”
