They’re back!
Major announcement alert! Paramore will be releasing their first new single titled “This is Why” September 28. The last time we heard music from Paramore was in 2017 when they released their fifth studio album After Laughter. The trio first teased this comeback single via a mysteriousTikTok account with the username ‘isthiswhyisthisiswhy’ and a video of a producer at a computer in the studio. The official announcement came on September 16 when they posted the song cover on social media with the caption, “‘This is Why’ the song. Sept 28.”
Paramore’s comeback since their hiatus was back in January when they tweeted “we’ve missed you. we’re playing When We Were Young Fest in Vegas on Oct 22nd.” But, the When We Were Young Festival isn’t the only live performance they’ll be doing. In July they announced their tourthat’ll begin October 2 in Bakersfield, California and end November 19 in Mexico City, Mexico. This will be the band’s first live performances in over four years. Other cities in the tour include Atlanta, Austin, and Toronto.
After, After Laughter Paramore’s lead singer Hayley Williams released her debut solo LP in 2020 titled Petals For Armor. Then came a second studio album, FLOWERS for VASES / descansos that was released February of last year. Williams latest single “Colour Me In” dropped in April 2021.
