Jhené Aiko Gifts Fans With a Rerelease of Holiday Single ‘Wrap Me Up’

Jhené has started giving Christmas gifts a little early with a new version of “Wrap Me Up”.

Jhené Aiko gave fans a surprise early Christmas gift today, December 14 with a rerelease of her 2012 SoundCloud holiday single “Wrap Me Up”. The original 2012 version featured singer James Fauntleroy. The 2021 reworked version of the song is featureless and has a bit of a different feel.

Produced by Tae Beats, the original “Wrap Me Up” has more of an up tempo beat while the new version produced by Lejkeys, Aiko, and the Fisticuffs has a magical harmonious sound with similar drums but this time with lots of strings and probably sound bowls. There’s also a change in the bridge, giving it even more a Christmas feel with an extended refrain “Silent night, hold me tight/In your arms, all is right”. Something else that’s different is the length of the song, the new version is 3 minutes and 33 seconds (3:33) which in the spiritual world is known as an angel number.
