Archie is a big brother!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcomed their daughter Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana Mountbatten-Windsor into the world on June 4, 2021 at 11:40 a.m. at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Lili weighed in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces. The couple announced this information on Sunday in a statement also saying that, “both mother and child are healthy and well, and settling in at home.”
Their new baby girl’s name, Lilibet Diana, is tribute to her great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II and her late grandmother, Princess Diana. Lilibet is The Queen’s family nickname which came from her struggle to pronounce her name as a child and it just stuck. Of course, Diana, Lilibet’s middle name is Prince Harry’s mothers name, Diana, Princess of Wales who died in 1997.

Meghan and Harry’s first child, son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born May 6, 2019 in London but he is a duel citizen of both the U.S. and the UK. Like her brother, Lilibet is also set to be a duel citizen.
