The real is back, the ville is back! J. Cole lives a private life and doesn’t post on social media very often but he did last week to announce the drop of his new upcoming album titled The Off-Season. Cole posted a photo of the album cover art with the caption, “My new album The Off-Season available 5/14. Just know this was years in the making.” To preview the album he dropped a single, “interlude” which he wasn’t going to release but said “Sometimes you gotta say f*ck it tho”, he tweeted. Cole was going to drop the album all at once but thank goodness he didn’t. Listen to the new single from J. Cole below.

P!nk – All I Know So Far
The music video for P!nk’s new song “All I Know So Far” goes through P!nk’s life story from being a troubled kid with an alcoholic mother to being stabbed in the back to going through ups and downs in her marriage to rekindling her relationship with her mother. The story is told as a bedtime story to her daughter who tells Pink she doesn’t want to hear a fairytale. It’s a powerful and creative visual that brings the lyrics of the song to life.
Aly & AJ – a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet gets you out and then into the sun
Sister duo, Aly & AJ are back in the spotlight with a new album that has a very long title, a touch of the beat gets you up on you feet gets you out and then into the sun which are lyrics from a song on the album “Don’t Need Nothing”. Those who grew up on early 2000s Disney remember Aly & AJ from their popular track, “Potential Breakup Song” that regained popularity by way of a TikTok trend. It’s been 14 years since “Potential Breakup Song” was released and the sisters are now ages 30 and 32 so as you can imagine they’ve matured thus making different music than they did in their Disney days as teens. In an interview with The Washington Post, Aly and AJ talked about the sound of the album, “…ultimately we wanted to just create an album that didn’t feel like any specific genre necessarily, that just felt like good songwriting”. You can watch the visual for a standout track, “Pretty Places” below.
Njomza ft. Russ – winter in atlanta
You may or may not know Njomza’s self recorded music but you have heard songs she’s co-written like “7 Rings” and “thank u, next” by Ariana Grande. She also co-lead vocals on Mac Miller’s “Creatures of the Night”. In 2017, Njomza dropped her solo recording debut, an EP titled sad for you and in 2018 signed with SinceThe80s/Motown, releasing her second EP. She released a single “Lucky” in December, now she’s dropped a track featuring Russ in preparation for her upcoming EP, LIMBO which is set to release June 18th.
