Black Artists Spotlight: Tamara Dobson

Before my other blog StyleBySi became a personal style blog, it was about all things fashion. During black history month last year I was posting “Black History Facts in Fashion”.
Because I basically started StyleBySi over, all those posts no longer exist.

Except…I found the title of the one I did on Beverly Johnson on Polyvore and the one I did on
Tamara Dobson is on Google+.
I wanted to share a little of the post on Tamara Dobson.

Tamara Dobson was a high fashion model turned movie star in the 1970’s. Dobson modeled for Vogue Magazine and went on to play a star role as Cleopatra Jones in Cleopatra Jones (1973) and Cleopatra Jones and the Casino of Gold (1975).

Dobson past in 2006 but according to those who knew her, “she was not afraid to start a trend”.
